So, I just created this thread on the French forum. I'm curious to know if it's just me being all rigid and all.

Here goes : it seems to me that this "WANTED" section would be more appealing, interesting and readable if it was not constantly polluted by promotional threads.

Don't you think the "FEEDBACK", " NEWS", and "PROMOTIONS ETC" sections are enough for all the promotional little games and lists?
Not to mention the EVERYTHING ELSE one which seems to serve the exact same purpose.

The BUSINESS and NETWORK sections are also very helpful for that.

So what is the point if you find the same promotional hodge-podge everywhere ?

I would really like to be able to come here and only find genuine WANTED adds. It is also possible it would be clearer and more appealing that way to NON-SELLERS...

You are right: the 'Wanted' section of the DaWanda forums is meant to be a place where members can make requests for specific items they would like to buy.

It is NOT a place for promoting your own shop and items even when you have not been requested to do so.

In fact, we created the 'Promotions & Special Offers' section just so that people have a place where they CAN promote their items! But that place is not the Wanted board.

We have closed all inappropriate topics in the Wanted section which have been commented on since 01.05.2009 (this means you can no longer add any posts to these threads).

Any new threads we come across which are just promotional/not in the spirit of the 'Wanted' section will be deleted.

Yep. Everyone would appreciate work coming in so it would be nice to see these promotions kept out of here and let us see what people are looking for.
