Yes, you do have to pay listing fees on the German platform, and Dawanda expects you to have good German that you can communicate well with your customers. Some people do use an online translation programme, but it isnt accurate and has some strange sayings! Hope this helps!

Thanks Lightwear! My German is not too good, I'm afraid! I might have to give that a miss. (I'm having enough trouble with Spanish!)

I am in england and sold my 1st item to someone from Germany. So long as the price is right and they do not charge exvessive P+P I would buy worldwide.

I'm from the UK and have just discovered daWanda. Im guessing Etsy is probably more popular here? I have purchased from sellers here in France, Belgium and the States. Having the currency in Euro's doesn't put me off. If i see something i like i will purchase from any country! I also noticed one seller on daWanda only delivers to Germany and i really liked their products which is a shame. I like that some sellers provide english translation of their shop.

Yes, I agree, if you see something you like and the price is right you will buy it even if it is from Australia ! I had a lady buy something from me and she lives in Hollywood !!!!!

Juniperblu, you could ask the person if she would be prepared to post to the UK. Sometimes the Germans are a little wary of paypal, or conscious of their English, but it is worth a try .....

Hi
I've just been reading up on the threads and finding my way around. I have been buying and selling on Etsy for a while and my friend on there who lives in Germany has introduced me to DaWanda. I had never heard of DaWanda, where is it promoted and advertised to the English market?

What amazes me is that my friend has achieved in excess of 800 sales since May when she first introduced me.

So whilst reading from you more experienced selling members of DaWanda I hope to eventually have some sales and will keep my fingers X.

Georgie
