Vinyldesign

Hi everybody,
i'm doing pretty well on other selling venues (Etsy) but i didn't have a single sale here. I'm listing quite often new stuff, what else should i do??

My theory (although I'm new too!) is to start getting to know folks here by hanging out in the forum!

Hi Vinyldesign,
I guess it's no advantage living in Austalia :-(.
I personally don't buy stuff from Australia, China, USA etc., because the shipping costs are too expensive. E.g. in your case, I would pay 16 € for a wall vinyl and then another 8€ for the shipping costs..., which makes it a bit expensive. Maybe you should try your luck on local markets in Australia?

Jellybeans

I'm the same way on Etsy (hello from over there hehe)

I got a sale today, and thought - maybe I'd get more if I participated here as much as I do over there. .... so that's what I'm doing (fingers crossed that it works lol)

Birdlandcreations

List in French, German and English if you can. The German site is the most active.

I looked into listing in German / French....and it was just over my head lol. I wasn't really comfortable listing and not knowing for sure what I was saying. Now I wish I was at least bilingual in French lol.

I seem to sell more in Germany, too. I used Yahoo Babelfish for the translation - and the clients don't seem to mind me mangling their language! :-)

GoofingOffArtSupplyShop

I use dictionary.com translator for my French translation. I haven't tried much with the German yet. Maybe I should.

I'd like to post in German too but from what i've been told , the translaters on line are not very acurate.

I'm going to give it a shot using an online translator. I've noticed some German sellers doing the same, and I can figure out what they're saying so they should be able to figure out what I mean as well.

Not to be difficult - and I'm interested in knowing how to increase sales here too - but I've just finished reading a sticky in the Questions forum ( http://en.dawanda.com/topic/19/27867 ) which specifically asks us not to use online translators to translate our listings... The thinking is that if we don't know the language well enough to create our listings, we probably won't be able to deal with any queries or problems - which is certainly the case for me and German!

If there's any nice German person who wants to translate all my items and be on call for queries, on the other hand, do give me a shout... ;-)

I have only had 1 sale on here so far. I think that as you get more feedback it helps to generate more sales.

GoldFishJewelry

Hi,
I have problems with German language too, and most of my buyers are from Germany. I listed some items on German DaWanda and asked my friend for help.Sometimes it helps to have only a few words in German to understand what I´m selling.

Leplenda

Hello everyone,

I am new at the forum though I have my Dawanda shop for sometime now. This is the second time I sell and all turned out quite well in the first time. Yet, today I was informed by this second client that she has payed 80 fr for what should have been 42 euros (this being the amount I have charged and received). I am in Portugal and she is in Switzerland. How can this have happened? What did I do wrong? I am quite conserned about this matter and I would like to know what I may have done wrong to give an answer to my client.

Thank you so much
Rita
