About me

I started making miniature bears a few years ago, when I discovered 1:12 scale miniatures, and decided to re-create a scene from a much loved childhood T.V. series, Bagpus. I could find lots of things to fill the scene, but one vital piece was missing, the "saggy old cloth cat" himself. So I decided I would have to make one, but where to start? So I bought a miniature bear kit ... and the rest as they say, is history. I learned how to make bears. I worked out how to design my own - and I made them - lots of them, and I finally made my bagpus.

No one bear is ever exactly the same as another, even if I use the same fabric or template. Each bear is lovingly hand sewn and takes roughly 5 hours to complete.

There are only so many bears I can give to family and friends, but I still enjoy making them, and I'm running out of room.
