Designers Against Aids (DAA) ist ein gemeinnütziges Projekt mit dem Ziel, weltweit die Aidsaufklärung zu fördern. Bekannte und aufstrebende Fashion Designer, Musiker, Künstler und andere bekannte Persönlichkeiten unterstützen uns darin, indem sie für DAA Designs entwerfen, die wir dann auf T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, Kondompackungen, Notizhefte, etc. drucken.

Anfang 2008 starteten wir mit H&M unsere erste weltweite Kollektion "Fashion Against AIDS", welches eine geniale Möglichkeit ist, das Thema AIDS wieder ins Gedächtnis der Welt zu holen und HIV-Prävention zu betreiben. Mitwirkende Stars sind unter anderem Rihanna, Timbaland, Ziggy Marley, Good Charlotte, My Chemical Romance, Tiga, Chicks on Speed and Katharine Hamnett. DAA bietet zudem weitere verschiedene Produkte wie Kerzen, Buttons und wie zuletzt Parfum (Schaut mal auf folgenden Link, um mehr über über dieses tolle Projekt zu erfahren: http://six-scents.com).

Dabei handelt es sich immer um limitierte Editionen oder Einzelstücke. Die von uns verwendeten Shirts kommen aus Sweatshop-freien oder Fairtrade Betrieben. Die Verkaufserlöse aus dem DaWanda-Shop kommen ausschließlich dem Projekt DAA zugute.

Designers Against Aids (DAA) is a project of non-profit organisation Beauty Without Irony that was founded to raise aids awareness in the international media and towards the general public using elements from popculture such as fashion, music, art and celebrities. We do this by asking famous and emerging fashion designers, musicians, artists and other stars to create designs that we then print on items such as t-shirts, sweaters, underwear, bedlinen, condom boxes, ringbinders, etc.

Earlier this year we did our first worldwide collection with H&M called ‘Fashion Against AIDS’, a brilliant chance to get the word out about AIDS awareness and HIV prevention. Participating stars included Rihanna, Timbaland, Ziggy Marley, Good Charlotte, My Chemical Romance, Tiga, Chicks on Speed and Katharine Hamnett. Ik wou al langer iets kopen om dit zalige initiatief te steunen! Nu heb ik eindelijk mijn keuze gemaakt, en speldenkussen van G + N. Dit is mijn eerste paypal ervaring hopelijk loopt alles los :) Ik ben beniewd!
