Drops of Light; Jewelry designed to celebrate life, and look doing it!
My Drops of Light's designs are made by hand from vintage beads, semi precious stone, handmade glass beads and sterling silver. Drops of Light designs uses the mystery in vintage beads, the magic in precious stone and the fire that is in handmade lampwork, together with a dash of my own love and passion, to create a look that is edgy and uniquely feminine.
Inspired nature, the elements, classic films and beautiful European cities like Paris, Madrid, Berlin, London, Rome, Venice and last but not least Amsterdam, I love to create jewelry that plays on the contrast and synergy between vintage and contemporary,light and shadow, color, or texture.
I am one of three sisters and together we have a home based studio where we each create our own personal line of jewelry. I design my 'Drops of Light'. I spend a great deal of time and effort into finding rare vintage beads, beautiful precious stones, unique handmade glass beads and high quality materials.
I believe our mother’s passion for jewelry, art and crafts was instilled in us at an early age. In our youth we were always surrounded by art, books, paintings and beads, beads, beads. Creating something other people will wear is very special to me because jewelry really does become an intimate part of a lot of people’s self-expression.
All my jewerly is entirely high quality sterling silver unless specifically stated otherwise in the description of the item (some pieces are made with copper or gold filled components, but never plated base metal or other lesser materials).
If you see something you like in the sold section, chances are it will be relisted and I'm just waiting for supplies. Don't hesitate to ask!Most of the bright sterling silver pieces be oxidized or oxidized pieces can be re-produced with bright sterling silver.
All of my jewelry is made and stored in a smoke free and animal free environment.
I am constantly at my workbench creating new pieces and I list new items frequently so please check back often!
