About me

Hello, my name is Susanne, of Dumb Kid Designs, #7 if you prefer.

I have been making things-crafting, my entire life! I love to create all kinds of stuff! The dumb kids in Dumb Kid Designs, those are my sisters and brothers – and me! I’m the 7th of 8 kids. A long time ago, my Grandpa use to call us “a bunch of dumb kids”, not to be mean, just in that agghhhh frustrated moment of looking at a small child, like what did you just say or do? The moment that a child surprises or puzzles an adult. It became a joke among all 8 of us, even our Mom and Dad would laugh at times. When I started to take my “crafting” serious, I wanted a name that everyone in my family would remember. – So that’s where the name comes in.

As you may have guessed, I’m a huge family person. I’m married to Paul, and he is part of Dumb Kid Designs, too. Without him, I wouldn’t be able to accomplish all of this. We don’t have kids of our own, but we have 22 nieces and nephews. It’s fun and with 5 sisters, trust me – I get a taste every once in a while of what motherhood is all about, --even if I’m not in the mood for it.
