About me
Howdy folks! We're Cherie and Scott, we've been making life and art together for nearly 30 years. We live in the wild and woolly high desert/mountain environment of southeastern Cochise County, AZ. We live off-grid and have been building our little art house out-of-pocket over the past 9 years...some day we'll finish! We've just completed (almost) our new custom built jewelry/stained glass shop at home; we're so excited about getting into it and seeing what creative wonders will manifest! Cherie has been making jewelry since approximately age 10, Scott since high school. We tend to gear toward a very organic, natural, colorful sort of neo-ancient, gypsy/ethnic look. Scott does most of the metal-smithing (Cherie'll be doing more in the future!) and the lapidary work, Cherie does lampwork glass, wirework and woven beadwork (when time allows!). We're always adding new techniques to the mix, so the look evolves over time, but we try to stay with that natural, ethnic sort of feel. We make most of our own findings (earwires, clasps, mounting pins, etc.) so our jewelry pieces can be as truly "handmade" as possible! We use no plastic or vinyl or lucite or Fimo or any other petro-based materials...only natural stone, metal, clay and glass.
