This is life in the desert....serene...alone...aware...watching... listening...night...moon...coyotes...day....wind... scorpions...winter...leafless...spring...cactus blossoms...summer...torrential rain...autumn...vultures leaving....eagles above the ridge....javelinas in the wash....big, rough lizards on the walls....fire in the woodstove...
And in the midst of all, we create. The passion of nature, the relentless surge, the Flow, the quiet ebb...our inspiration. The textures, the colors, the blending of course & soft...our delight. Fire in the sky at sunset, blood on the thorn, metallic sheen on a wasp's belly, green fire of new spring leaf....the palette of Nature!
Elksong Jewelry studio is husband & wife, soul-mates, partners in life, love & work. We create what we feel & see with our own four hands! All metalwork & stone pendants are created by us, as well as much of the findings in our work (earwires, clasps, ball pins, etc.) so you can purchase a truly handmade piece! We have been building our "nidito" (little nest) here in the high rocky desert bit by bit for the past decade and created a custom, solar-powered studio space full of color & warmth, were Elksong's creations flow.
