About me
Hi there. I'm Aditi, I'm a South African currently living in France. I've been doing many things for the past few years and now I'm a stay at home mom looking after my 17 month old son.
I started making my bags as a hobbie, just for fun for me, until one day someone stopped me in the Paris Metro and asked me where I got my bag from. This then gave me an idea to start doing do something creative and getting back to sewing and making stuff which I enjoy a lot and voilà ... Aditi of Bollywood creations.
I first started sewing when i was little, I used to make wonderful outfit for my Barbie dolls from my moms scrap fabrics and as a student in South Africa I used to help out at a company specialised in making accessories during the holidays.
I would like to turn my hobbie into a full time/support myself career, but it's a long and very slow process:(
Each item I sell on Dawanda is created and designed by me from start to finish. I make the sketches, then make the pattern, cut out the pieces, sew them together, embellish, and then ship them off to you! Each item is unique and one of a kind, and may vary from piece to piece!I rarely have enough fabric to make two bags.
I mostly use cotton and Japanese fabrics but don't exclude using other materials in the future. The fabric determines and inspires my designs.
