About me

Welcome to The Apple Cottage Company’s new Dawanda store.

I am a textile designer based in the small fishing village of Johnshaven on the North East coast of Scotland.

Since graduating from art school in 1993 I have designed and created everything from wedding dresses and handbags to fine art, but my true love has always been decorative home textiles and accessories.

I am inspired by the countryside,coast and village life. I enjoy combining simple fabrics and patterns with bright colours and hand stitching to create a style which I think is best described as modern country.
