Hello!

I am a graduate student and photographer. My creative passions include photography, pysanky eggs, painting and quilting, and violin. Some of my paintings are now available in my shop as ACEOs; a few original acrylics will be arriving soon!

My inspiration comes from color, nature and dreams. I love to translate these aspects into my traditional photography as well as into digital photo artwork (which can be seen in my "surreal" section).

I love to think in "What Ifs", such as "what if the sky was red?", "what if animals could talk?" and (now for the one that makes my husband really wonder about me sometimes) "what if werewolves and vampires actually existed?".

Photography background:

My cousin gave me my first camera when I was about 13 - a Pentax ME from her late father. In fact, I still have it though I've made the switch to digital in the past few years. The moment I realized a camera allowed me to capture things in a scene that were important to ME and show them to others, was the moment I was hooked! I've been avidly taking and creating images ever since.

I have done professional commissioned photography (mainly portraiture and editorial) but I am focusing now on the subjects and techniques I personally enjoy - whatever strikes my fancy! I'm really enjoying experimenting with microscopy (using an old-school vintage microscope and a small camera), and also images with saturated color.

**NEW**! I have recently added several photographs taken by my husband in my shop! These are noted in the listings by "MSM", his initials.

PRINTS: My prints are on archival Kodak Endura Lustre paper or Kodak Endura metallic paper, or Ilford pearl paper. I use a printing service that caters to professional photographers and the quality of the prints is excellent.

Shipping: First Class Mail to anywhere in the United States & Canada. For all other countries I use International First Class mail. I mark "other" on all customs forms and list the value of the item minus shipping. Buyer is responsible for any customs fees.
