About me
Hello! My name is Marceline and I make a range of cute stationery, accessories and gifts inspired by Japanese kawaii. I'm based in Glasgow, Scotland and also work as a freelance web and graphic designer. You can see my portfolio at www.marcelinesmith.com.
Things I like
Making things, eating cake, gallivanting, secondhand books, vinyl records, taking photos of things and putting them on Flickr, making lists, having more blogs than you, Nintendo, bento, Rocket Dog shoes, LOST, cutesy Japanese stuff, pie, wandering, cake tourism, botanical gardens, bunny stalking, planning my campaign to be elected Evil Dictator of the World.
Have a look at my blog to see what I’m working on, what’s new in the shop and stuff about Japan, art, design and kawaii - www.askingfortrouble.org/crafts. You can also join the newsletter – there’s a signup form at http://tinyurl.com/troublenews/.
My work has been displayed at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh, NB Gallery in Wiltshire and The Park Gallery in Falkirk. I take part in local craft markets regularly and I'm also part of the Glasgow Craft Mafia - www.glasgowcraftmafia.com

|
Together with the DaWanda Community, we are creating a unique film, called "Creating Love". What makes it special: Each individual image of the film (frame) has been designed by a different DaWanda user. So in the end, thousands of images are put together to create a colourful, creative and extraordinary film unlike any other. Watch the finished film here! |
