About me

My story of how I became a crafter dates back to 1988 when I was only 2 years old.

I won't elaborate much but I will tell you this...cutting fabric comes quiet naturally to me and it seems that this skill was evident from the time of me cutting my Sunday dress with toenail scissors when I was 2 years old to the present day, with me trying to make anything and everything with whatever I can find to complete my dream world ideas.

Letting your talents evolve at an early age can be both socially damaging and highly addicting at the same time.I was the kid in the corner always sketching or thinking of how I could make Dutch styled Barbie doll shoes out of hot glue.

Expertise
I have been doing beadwork for almost 15 years now! Mainly because I am a 1/4 Cherokee Indian and every summer I would visit the reservation and be inspired by all of the intricate bead weaving.

I like to think I can bead practically anything at this point.

Education
I obtained an AAS degree in Fashion Design from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Some of my formal training involves corsetry and couture garments.

My Style
Generally I like balanced design and lots of details. My style is not simplistic, although I do respect simplicity in many aspects of my life designing is not one of them. I do not complete an item until I am fully satisfied with its details from the inside out.

I believe in not just creating something but in actually inventing new ways of seeing, wearing or using things. I strive to make my work reflect these beliefs.

What do I make?
The things I love making are corsets, shawls, hats, beaded décor and much much more. I love to create items with historical elements and fantasy themes. Every piece has a story form the most elaborate tale to the littlest dream.
