About me
Emma Gordon London is a one-woman show set up in 2003 by me, Emma Gordon.
I work from home in my little studio hand-making every order from start to finish myself. I should think about getting some outside help in as I do work very long hours - but then it just wouldn't be the same...
I am proud of the personal service I am able offer, and I try to make shopping with me that that bit more special.
Here's how I got started:
I was tired of only being able to buy mass-produced goods in the shops that were being worn by thousands of other people too, so I decided to do something about it!
I began by setting up a small stall at Spitalfields Fashion Market in London’s East End. I was soon noticed and approached by several boutiques that wanted to stock my bags and the rest, as they say, is history.
'Emma Gordon London' can be found in boutiques around the world, including the USA, Singapore, Australia, Taiwan, Malaysia, Spain and South Korea.
My signature style is ‘ladylike with a twist’ using pretty colours, quirky detailing and delicate trims. As every bag is handmade, this achieves the unique ‘one-off’ style that has so far proved very popular with my customers.
I take my inspiration from everything elegant, from the light-hearted glamour of Audrey Hepburn in ‘Breakfast at Tiffanys’ to the gorgeous pin-up girls of the 1950’s.
