My name is LORENA, I was born in Mexico around the 80’s, and in 2005 I graduated from INDUSTRIAL DESIGN.
In 2008 I got married to my argentinian boyfriend and moved to Buenos Aires. There I studied JEWELRY and Stone Setting, and my love for jewelry became my biggest passion.
For me a Jewel is so much more than a fashion accessory or an embellisher, it’s a small piece of art that tells a story about itself, about its creator and about its wearer.
It thrills me to think that through my jewels I can be part of other people's lives and reach places I have only imagined.
As a hobby I like ILLUSTRATING, that’s why my shop is called GEMAGENTA; the mix of the things I love to do, “gem” for jewels, and “magenta” for the illustration printing ink in CMYK.
I’m currently based in beautiful Amstedam, living a dream… sharing my life with my love, creating jewelry, illustrating, and traveling the world.

My muse is very dynamic, so many things boost my imagination, so don’t be surprised if in my work you find things that go from the clean geometrics, to the nature inspired and anything in between.
Overall I think my work it’s feminine, highly detailed, and many times playful.
