About me

I retired in 2007 after thirty-two years as a secondary school art teacher from a small western New York school. Because of my daily classroom work helping students I feel I have spent the last three decades “practicing.” Along the way I have completed a number of paintings, perhaps far fewer than I should have. My intention is to now make up for lost time. My work includes landscapes and full color portraits, as well as the monochrome Native American portraits.

In addition to my oil paintings I also do digital art. I fell in love with the Mac computer in the early ‘90’s and returned to college to take computer graphics classes. I soon began teaching computer graphics on the high school level. A series of my digital work will be available on DaWanda later this year.
