Hi, my name is Joan aka HeyBoom!
HeyBoom is from Australia and lives in Oman.

After university I went to work for an airline and met my partner on a flight from Frankfurt to Muscat.
During my days off work and up to now, I am still as creative as ever.

I make all the patterns for my bags.
Designing and stitching is all done by me and only me!

100% Lightweight Cotton Canvas and Twill Fabrics are often use on most of the bags, and that includes duck, denim, gabardine,drill and chino. They are strong, light and does not tear easily which makes them the ideal choice.
I use mostly plain fabrics, sometimes I stamped them with fabric paint and embellish them with ceramic buttons. The bags are handmade one at a time.
The ceramic buttons are also handmade by me.

By the way, I also make my own rubber stamps from small rubber erasers, I sometimes use the stamps on the clay buttons.

Oh! and I went to Goethe Institute in Dusseldorf! to learn German!

HeyBoom ist australisch, lebt und fertigt in Oman.
Nach meiner Ausbildung war ich bei einer Fluggesellschaft beschäftigt und habe meinen späteren Ehemann auf einem Flug von Frankfurt nach Oman kennengelernt. Schon seit meiner Berufstätigkeit und auch nach dem ausscheiden aus dem Berufsleben, bin ich gestalterisch tätig.

Alle Taschen werden von mir gestaltet, die Schnitte entworfen und in Handarbeit gefertigt.

Die benutzten Stoffe sind in der Regel 100%ige Baumwolle (Canvas, twill, duck, denim, gabardine, drill and chino). Sie sind strapazierfähig, von geringem Gewicht und reiβfest, was sie zu einer idealen Wahl machen. Die meisten Modelle sind unifarbig, einige zum Teil farbig bedruckt und mit Keramikknöpfen versehen. Jede Tasche wird von mir in Einzelanfertigung hergestellt und genauso die Keramikknöpfe.

Die Farbdrucke und Ornamente auf den Knöpfen? - Die Matrizen der Druckstempel werden von mir aus simplem Radiergummi gefertigt.

Mein Deutsch habe ich im düsseldorfer Goethe-Institut gelernt und wenn’s nötig wird, bekomme ich auch schon einmal bei Übersetzungen familiäre Hilfe.
