About me
A little bit about me: Hi, my name is Jan and I live in Aloha, Oregon which is in the Portland metro area. I joined DaWanda in January of 2008 but I’m really just getting started now with selling and setting up my shop. I am in awe at how many creative and talented people are on DaWanda. I have been sewing for about 20+ years. I have been sewing tote bags for family and friends and decided to try selling them. I have met some very nice people and thank them for their purchases.
Now a little bit about my bags:
I love everything about making the tote bags from shopping for the fabric to putting on the button. I always use a good quality of fabric. I attach a batting to the outside fabric and use an interfacing on the lining(unless stated otherwise). This makes the tote bags strong yet soft. They can stand up on their own. The handles are triple stitched. I pre-shrink my fabric so it won’t shrink when you wash it. I love a wide assortment of fabrics such as Michael Miller, Loralie Harris, Moda, and Timeless Treasures but I am really drawn to vintage and floral prints. Special Orders: The only special orders I do right now are making duplicates of bags I've already sold or making a duplicate of a bag I currently have for sale because sometimes people want 2 instead of just the one bag.
