About luii

luii was created by Janice Chan in early 2007, based in Perth, Western Australia.

luii offers high quality, one-off or limited edition handmade goodies includes bags, jewellery, accessories, home decor, homeware and more, using fabrics, button, haberdashery, beads, and all sorts of materials she collected from around the world.

All pieces are carefully handmade by Janice, every piece will be slightly different, combination of fabric and materials may be different from the exact pieces shown in the catalogue.

We have taken so much from our planet, it's time to take care of it, recycle more, and waste less! Soon to be added to luii's range are one-off pieces made from recycled materials. Watch this space!

What's "luii"? luii is part of my first name in Chinese, literally means bloom, blossom.

About Janice

Born in Hong Kong, Janice has been living in Perth, Western Australia since 1997. Janice completed her Bachelor degree in Management Information Systems and Electronic Commerce, and Postgraduate Diploma in Information Science at Edith Cowan University.

She worked as many different roles in Australia and overseas, finally she made a major decision - to start her own businesses.

Janice started making jewellery (or jewelry!) and sewing since 2003, she sells her goodies at various markets and craft fairs around Perth. Later she opened a bead shop - luvbead.com.au and an online boutique - strawberryjam.com.au to share her passion with every crafty friend she met through the internet, markets, craft fairs etc etc.

She refuses to be one of the others, dislikes the lack of individuality in mass produced goods. She designs and creates things that she cannot find that are suitable for her lifestyle. She's an accessory junkie so her designs branched out from jewellery to everything related to everyday living. Hence the creation of the label - luii, which showcases everything to "accessorize your life."
