About me

I'm Jo, 30 something and mum to two gorgeous kids. I'm married to a wonderful guy who puts up with my serious bead addiction! Anyone want to form a group for bead addicts!?

I'm a self taught beader, although I did complete GCSE Jewellery Design many moons ago. My background is in visual arts; I specialised in painting and mixed media, but, I have now discovered the perfect creative outlet: designing and making jewellery.

My major passion is lampwork glass, in particular borosilicate glass. I love the way it comes to life in sunlight and I spend many hours searching out these glowing orbs from my favourite bead makers in the UK, Europe and USA. Each bead is lovingly hand-torched then annealed in a kiln (slowly cooled) for strength and durability. Each individual bead is unique and truly a work of art!
