About me
Hi, my name is Robert and I live in Sparta, NJ. Though photography is not my sole profession, over the past several years it has become a much bigger part of my life.
When I was a child, my mother worked for Raccoon Ridge Bird Observatory which she still runs today. We were involved in the care of orphaned and injured birds and animals, which gave me a profound love of wildlife and the outdoors.
My days were spent hand-feeding baby birds, bottle feeding and wrestling with raccoons, giving mice to Great Horned owls, and having various birds we had released back into the wild land on my head to say hello.
That love of the outdoors and particularly wildlife has stayed with me throughout my life and surely influences my photography today. I prefer the outdoors to the studio, and though I do professional photography for people and companies, I'm most happy in the woods by myself with a camera.
If you have any questions about any of the photos, or would like to see if a print is available in a different size, please let me know.
