      Preparations

      First, think about the materials you need and get them ready. You need about 2 meters of cord to make one coaster. If you want a bigger coaster use more cord. Cut your cord accordingly.

      Step 1

      Heat up the glue gun. Start to apply the glue to the cord as you can see in the picture.

      Start to roll the cord as you see in the picture. Be careful here, as the glue will be very hot!

      Step 3

      Proceed gluing and rolling until your coaster begins to take shape. Don't glue to far ahead, go step by step, this makes the project much easier to handle.

      Put some glue at the end of the cord and then tuck it underneath so it is out of sight.

      Now you can add some yarn or wool for decoration.

      If the bottom looks very messy, tie or glue the loose ends into place.
