Make a Mountain Advent Calendar
DescriptionSarah from Rotkehlchen is here with a unique idea for an Advent calendar. It's perfect for mountaineers and nature lovers! Read on for the materials and instructions.
You can see all the materials you need in the picture above.
Making the boxes
Print out the attached template and transfer it to kraft board. Cut out 24 box shapes.
Pre-fold the dotted lines carefully using a cutter and triangle ruler.
Next, fold the boxes using the bonefolder. Glue a magnet to each box, on the side that doesn't have tabs.
Attaching the Flags
Glue each numbered flag to the top of a wooden stick. Allow it to dry briefly, then glue to the part of the box that has tabs. Make sure the writing on the flags is facing outward.
Gluing and Painting
Now you can glue the mountain boxes together. Quickly paint the snow-covered peaks and some polka dots as snowflakes.
Adding the Decorations
The model figures and trees make fun details! We recommend that you fix them using model construction glue or superglue. Brush the tips of the trees with white paint to get a snow effect. You can set the trees with magnets (so you'll be able to move them around) or glue.
Now you can fill the boxes with goodies and attach them to the magnetic board.
