Waiver of signature when handing over parcels This applies above all to the acceptance and delivery of consignments. For example, we currently do not use the recipient's signature when handing over parcels and registered delivery. Instead, instead of the recipient, our deliverers document the successful delivery with their own signature. In this way, we reduce the personal contact between the recipients and our deliverers and avoid possible transmission of viruses via hand scanner and pen.

Wrong delivery address
The customer enters his data as part of the ordering process and must therefore ensure its accuracy even without an express agreement. He is therefore responsible for mistakes. Since the trader has no way to verify the accuracy of the information, he must rely on it. If he then delivers to the specified location, and the customer is not to be found there, he can demand the costs of the unsuccessful delivery attempt back from the customer by way of damages. In addition, the conditions of the actual offer are also likely to be met, so that there is a delay in acceptance.
Although the consumer may challenge his false declaration of intent, in that case he would have to compensate the trader for the damage he suffered in reliance on the validity of the declaration. This also includes the futile shipping costs.
A challenge by the customer thus affects the dealer's obligation to deliver, but not his claim for reimbursement of the costs for the futile delivery.
The contract remains effective
If the goods cannot be delivered, the package will be returned to the dealer. Both the dealer and the customer remain bound by the contract for the time being.
It is different if the consumer makes use of his right of withdrawal in the meantime. Please note that refusing to accept or not collecting the goods is not sufficient. Rather, the consumer must expressly state that he no longer wishes to adhere to the contract. The right of revocation does not apply to articles manufactured according to customer requirements, these are excluded.
Depending on the constellation, however, the entrepreneur also has a right of withdrawal. As a rule, however, the unsuccessful expiry of a grace period is a prerequisite for this.
If the contract remains effective, the trader must resend the goods at a later date. Under certain circumstances, however, he may be able to demand reimbursement from the consumer for the costs for the first delivery and for the return. As a rule, the dealer can assert claims for damages, or reimbursement of expenses if the customer is in default of acceptance.
A default of acceptance exists if the dealer offers the goods to the customer as owed at the agreed place and at the agreed time and the customer unjustifiably refuses acceptance. It does not depend on the fault of the customer.
