Some years ago, I was stuck in an unfulfilling and boring job and desperately craved something to get my brain cells going again. I saw a story about a sucessful selling platform for all kinds of hand-made products, and decided to proceed down this road and literally BE productive. My lifelong fascination with stones (oh, all the river pebbles I collected as a kid :D) won out, and so I ended up here as a jewelry designer. Not really a niche product, true, which makes it difficult and sometimes frustrating to get the business up and running, but it's what I really love to do. I am self-taught, as probably many of other jewelry makers are, but I'd love to get an apprenticeship as an actual silversmith. Sadly, given my age and country, that's not so easy to achieve around here. Until then, I'll have to rely on my beloved teachers: books and internet. :)
I love to try new techniques, which slows down my actual creation process since it not always goes as planned after the first few tries. But I'll get there eventually, so please bear with me. :) So far, the techniques I dabbled in include wire wrapping, chainmaille and scalemaille, and art clay. I also soldered a few times, but since me and my family only got a house this year with enough room for an office, a.k.a. atelier, it never really got the attention it deserved ... until now. :)
I mostly use silver-plated materials, since until the business can grow, I'm working on a budget, but of course I also do custom orders with precious metals.
I'm the proud mother of two beautiful kids, a girl (born 2013) and a boy (born 2016), which sometimes causes me to forego updates and new listings for longer periods of time, but I'm still here and will answer any convos promptly.
