Everything handmade, from chunky mittens, cozy socks, woodland animal hoods to lace covered vases, there are all sorts of things in my shop to keep you and your home looking great, some made with 100% vegan acrylic yarn, others using Organic/Fairtrade cotton. All of my bags are made using organic and Fairtrade cotton too.
I manufacture most of the items on my etsy page myself, but eka also has a 'main collection' launched each winter which is produced in a fair trade township called Auroville in India, the artisans there work from designs I make for them to copy, the end result is a beautifully made unique collection which is also affordable. The co-operation I have with the studio in Auroville means that I get more time to develop the collection and make the 'made to order' and 'one off' items each year and I can also sleep soundly at night knowing the artisans are paid a fair wage for their hard work.
Eka caters for individuals that want to stand out in a crowd, in the knowledge that the environment hasn't suffered as a result.

  • Gilly

    Owner

    I used to snowboard full time and on that journey a friend taught me to crochet. As time went on I began to snowboard less and crochet more, now crochet is my full time job and I'm lucky enough to love it just as much as when I first began.

  • Bobby -Auromics Trust

    Crochet Team

    The incredibly talented ladies of Auromics in the UNESCO endorsed township of Auroville help me in the production of the main collection. I design and make the prototypes and then they create the main capsule collection for me.

Production partners

  • Auroville

    Auroville, India

    We've been working together on a small scale since 2008, I send over my sample pieces and Auromics in Auroville, India produce the amount I need in the colours and materials I order.

  • Helen Wilde - Ovobloom

To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorized Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering.

Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It

I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:

as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;
when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for my mailing list;
if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
as necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest toimprove my services; and 2) Compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use. Data Retention

I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 4 years.

In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
